Sophie is a PhD student who joined the Faculty of Epidemiology & Population Health at LSHTM in 2021. Her PhD focuses on advancing methods to account for biases in vaccine effectiveness studies, with a focus on COVID-19. She is also working part-time as a Senior Research Associate at a consultancy firm Evidera, where she designs and manages post-authorisation safety and comparative effectiveness studies, primarily using nationwide Nordic registries, UK, German or Japanese data. She completed an MSc in Environmental Technology at Imperial College London in 2016, and a BSc in Biological Science from Bristol University.
